Ms. Sackett graduated from the University of Iowa in 1997 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in physical
geography. She then attended West Virginia University College of Law where she earned a Juris
Doctorate degree in 2001. During law school, Ms. Sackett worked in the County Public Defender's
Office and in the Immigration Services for West Virginia University. Ms. Sackett received a Global
Education Opportunities Award which allowed her to study the European Community in Archon,
France.
Upon graduation from law school, Ms. Sackett served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable John
Henning of the Randolph County Circuit Court in Elkins, West Virginia. Ms. Sackett is licensed to
practice law in the state courts of California, Iowa, and West Virginia.
In 2009, Ms. Sackett was named Big Sister of the year by Big Brothers Big Sisters of the North Bay,
and she enjoys spending time with her “little sister” Stephanie. She was recently recognized by the
Marin County Commission on the Status of Women for her services to the community. Ms. Sackett is
active in San Rafael Harbor Rotary, where she has served as the Community Services Chair.
Ms. Sackett is a senior associate with The Goldman Law Firm, where she practices in the areas of
civil litigation, personal injury, medical malpractice defense, and dental malpractice defense.
